DOVE MOUNTAIN
DOVE MOUNTAIN. Dove Mountain is twenty miles northeast of the Persimmon Gap Ranger Station in east central Brewster County (at 29°45' N, 102°51' W). With an elevation of 3,792 feet above sea level, it rises 1,000 feet above Dove Mountain Road, three miles north. Its shallow, stony soils support scrub brush and grasses.
