FOX MOUNTAIN
FOX MOUNTAIN. Fox Mountain stands five miles north of Llano in central Llano County (at 30°49' N, 98°42' W). Its summit, at an elevation of 1,354 feet above sea level, rises 150 feet above the surrounding terrain, which ranges from rolling to flat to steep and is surfaced variously with sandy and clay loams or shallow stony soil. Local vegetation includes open stands of live oak and mesquite.
