HAYSTACK MOUNTAIN (DICKENS COUNTY)
HAYSTACK MOUNTAIN (Dickens County). Haystack Mountain is just south of U.S. Highway 82 bordering the Caprock in west central Dickens County (at 33°39' N, 100°57' W). Its summit, at 2,850 feet above sea level, rises 250 feet above the surrounding plains. The local clay loam soils support a variety of short grasses.
