LITTLE AGUJA MOUNTAIN
LITTLE AGUJA MOUNTAIN. Little Aguja Mountain is seventeen miles north of Fort Davis and a mile north of Farm Road 1832 in eastern Jeff Davis County (at 30°50' N, 103°54' W). It rises to an elevation of 5,192 feet above sea level, some 1,200 feet above the highway. The local soils are shallow and stony and support live oak, piñon pine, juniper, and grasses. Aguja means "needle" in Spanish.
