NEWMAN PEAK. Newman Peak is four miles southwest of the intersection of U.S. Highway 290 and Interstate Highway 10 in northern Jeff Davis County (at 31°01' N, 104°04' W). It rises to an elevation of 6,302 feet above sea level, 2,300 feet above the Jeff Davis-Reeves county line four miles to the south.
