CARTER BEND
CARTER BEND. Carter Bend, a bend in the Brazos River, was inundated by Possum Kingdom Lake in Young and Palo Pinto counties. There is now a Carter Island in the vicinity of the former bend (at 32°58' N, 98°25' W).
