THURMOND LAKE
THURMOND LAKE. Thurmond Lake, a shallow lake a mile long and a half mile wide, is just south of Sandy Point, northwest of Rosharon, and west of the Missouri Pacific Railroad in north central Brazoria County (at 29°22' N, 95°28' W). The lake lies at an elevation of forty-eight feet.
