ANTHONY, TEXAS (Fannin County). Anthony is on Farm Road 1753 twelve miles northwest of Bonham in the northwest corner of Fannin County. In the 1880s the Anthony family established a homestead in this area near the Red River. Between 1894 and 1907 a post office branch served the community. The population, which never exceeded fifty, was ten in 1988 and 1990.
