BUENA VISTA, TEXAS (Bexar County). Buena Vista is on Farm Road 1947 and Blue Wing Road eleven miles southeast of downtown San Antonio in southeastern Bexar County. It was settled around 1900. In the mid-1930s Buena Vista had a school, a store, and a number of houses. The school had five teachers for grades one through eight until the early 1950s, when it was consolidated with the Southside Independent School District.
