COLLWOOD, TEXAS. Collwood was on the Texas and New Orleans Railroad several miles north of Diboll in southern Angelina County. The settlement grew up during World War II,^qv when J. V. Lankford and Sons of Redland moved a small sawmill to the site. The mill evidently closed just after the war, and within a short time most of the residents left the area. In the early 1990s only a few scattered houses remained.
