HOLLY GROVE, TEXAS (Freestone County). Holly Grove, a half mile off Interstate Highway 45 in southwestern Freestone County, was once a school community. The Holly Grove school had an enrollment of fifteen in 1903. During the 1930s the community comprised a few scattered dwellings and a business nearby. By the 1980s only the Holly Grove Cemetery remained at the site.
