JOY, TEXAS (Cass County). Joy, located in eastern Cass County, was established as a lumbermill site in 1933 by Will Grogan, who named the settlement for his granddaughter. In 1949 the mill employed 100 people, who received mail and supplies from Bivins. By 1986 Joy had ceased to exist as a named community.
