NORWAY, TEXAS. Norway was a farm community on the Texas-Mexican Railway five miles southwest of Benavides in central Duval County. It was probably named for its proximity to the community of Sweden, and was founded before 1947, when it had an estimated population of twenty. By the late 1960s Norway was no longer shown on maps of the area.
