ROUNDTREE, TEXAS. Roundtree was eight miles west of Skidmore in southwestern Bee County. The area was first settled in the late 1800s. A Roundtree post office, said to have been named after a local family, operated briefly at the site from 1912 to 1913. At one time there was a store and mill in the area, but by the 1930s the community was no longer shown on maps. In the early 1990s only a few scattered farmhouses remained.
