ROACH, TEXAS (Gregg County). Roach was a short-lived post office seven miles west of Longview near the site of what is now White Oak in north central Gregg County. A post office operated there from 1881 to 1882. The small community, which at one time had a mill and a store, was no longer shown on maps by 1900.
