The Texas State Historical Association produces two publications of interest to advertisers: the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, the oldest scholarly journal in Texas, and Riding Line, the official newsletter of the Association. Each is mailed four times a year to the more than 3,200 individual and institutional members of the Association: professional and amateur historians, collectors of Texana and Western Americana, libraries, museums, agencies, foundations, and businesses.
SOUTHWESTERN HISTORICAL QUARTERLY
Since 1897 the Southwestern Historical Quarterly has been regarded as the most important source of information and ideas about the Texas experience. Each issue of the Southwestern Historical Quarterly features articles on various aspects of Texas history; book reviews; and the Southwestern Collection, a special section devoted to events, exhibits, announcements, and other news of particular interest to Association members and anyone interested in Texas history.
