   as a private on the Original Muster Roll of the
   Company Commanded by Capt Pettus who was
   massacred with Col J W Fannin March 27th 1836
   and that his name should have appeared on the
   Roll of Said Company furnished by this Department
   to Commissioner of Genl Law Office.
