Whitney Wheeler was born and raised in Addison, Texas. She graduated with a degree in History from Texas Christian University (2020) and is currently working on her master’s degree in History. Whitney is currently serving as an Amon Carter Foundation Research Fellow and working directly with the Texas State Historical Association on the Handbook of Dallas-Fort Worth project. She previously worked with her mentor, Dr. Gregg Cantrell, on entries pertaining to overlooked Texas legislators.
Whitney’s main area of study centers around the Cold War era in the United States. With a goal of one day serving as a museum curator, she focuses on the more material side of history and conveying a story through exhibits.
