Adinosa Creek, an intermittent stream, rises just south of U. S. Highway 67 in east central Presidio County (at 30°02' N, 104°12' W) and runs southeast for sixteen miles to its mouth on Alamito Creek, where the latter stream is crossed by Farm Road 169, just north of Plata (at 29°53' N, 104°01' W). The surrounding desert mountain terrain, volcanic-rock canyons, and wash deposits of sand and gravel support sparse grasses, desert shrubs, and cacti.
