Agula Creek rises near the intersection of Farm roads 444 and 1686 in eastern Victoria County (at 28°47' N, 96°49' W) and flows intermittently southeast for eleven miles to its mouth on Placedo Creek, two miles west of Lavaca Bay (at 28°43' N, 96°41' W). It traverses flat to rolling prairie surfaced by clay and loam that support mesquite and grasses.
