Artesian Creek

General Entry

Artesian Creek rises a mile southeast of the Lake Pasture oilfield in eastern Refugio County (at 28°24' N, 97°01' W) and runs southeast eleven miles to its mouth on Willow Creek (at 28°19' N, 96°56' W). Artesian Creek is intermittent in its upper reaches. The surrounding variable terrain is surfaced by muddy sand that supports mixed hardwoods and pines, as well as numerous prairie grasses.

The following, adapted from the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition, is the preferred citation for this entry.
