Bead Mountain is located a mile from Valera in the west central part of Coleman County (at 31°45' N, 99°35' W). It has an elevation of 2,050 feet and rises from stairstep terrain with steep slopes and benches surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and glasses.
