Bear Creek (San Jacinto County)

Bear Creek rises in south central San Jacinto County (at 30°28' N, 95°15' W) and runs southeast for three miles to its mouth on Winter's Bayou (at 30°27' N, 95°12' W), which then joins the East Fort of the San Jacinto River. The stream is in the southwestern part of Sam Houston National Forest. It traverses generally level country surfaced by sandy soils that support pine and hardwood forest.
