Beaver Creek (Anderson County)

Beaver Creek rises five miles northeast of Montalba in northwestern Anderson County (at 31°58' N, 95°42' W) and runs southwest for fifteen miles, through northwestern Anderson County, to its mouth on Catfish Creek, three miles northwest of Tennessee Colony (at 31°52' N, 95°53' W). The stream, intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses nearly level to moderately steep terrain surfaced by sandy and clayey upland soils. The banks are heavily wooded in places with oak, hickory, gum, and pine trees. Beavers live in the area. Otter Creek is the principal tributary of Beaver Creek.
