Beccerro (Becerra) Creek, also known as Parida Creek, rises ten miles northeast of Laredo in south central Webb County (at 27°36' N, 99°17' W) and runs northeast for twenty-nine miles to its mouth on Salado Creek, twenty-seven miles northeast of Callaghan (at 27°58' N, 98°58' W). It traverses low-rolling and flat terrain with locally shallow depressions, surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support grasses, mesquite, chaparral, and water-tolerant hardwoods.
