Bee Creek rises in West Lake Hills just east of Farm Road 2244 in central Travis County (at 30°18' N, 97°50' W) and runs east for three miles to its mouth on Lake Austin, just above Tom Miller Dam (at 30°18' N, 97°47' W). It flows beneath steep slopes and benches surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
