Bee Creek begins six miles northwest of the Round Mountain community in the northwestern corner of Travis County (at 30°36' N, 98°02' W) and runs south for three miles to its mouth on Cow Creek (at 30°34' N, 98°03' W). It crosses an area of steep slopes and benches surfaced by shallow clay loam that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
