Bell Branch begins two miles northwest of Dublin in southern Erath County (at 32°07' N, 98°22' W) and extends east for seven miles to its mouth on Green Creek, five miles east of Dublin (at 32°06' N, 98°16' W). It first traverses flat to rolling terrain, then an area of steep slopes and benches. The surrounding soil surface of sandy and clay loams supports brush, juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
