Big Creek (Fort Bend County)
Big Creek rises where Coon and Cottonwood creeks converge in south central Fort Bend County (at 29°29' N, 95°50' W) and flows southeast for twenty-five miles to its mouth on the Brazos River (at 29°22' N, 95°35' W). It crosses variable terrain surfaced by highly impermeable soil and calcareous clay that support mixed hardwoods and prairie grasses.
