Blackberry Creek rises in Dundee, in northwestern Archer County (at 33°45' N, 98°54' W), and flows north for just over ten miles to its mouth on the Wichita River, near the Wichita county line (at 33°50' N, 98°54' W). The stream, intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses gently rolling land surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, mesquite, cacti, and grasses. For most of the county's history, the Blackberry Creek area has been used as range and crop land. Early settlers often referred to the stream as Bobs Creek.
