Bodan Creek (Boden Creek, Bodane Bayou), rises just west of Central in northwest Angelina County (at 31°27' N, 94°49' W) and flows southwest for 12½ miles to its mouth on the Neches River (at 31°23' N, 94°57' W). The surroundings are typical of the East Texas piney woods, where the flat to moderately rolling land is surfaced with red sandy clays and loams that support pine and hardwood forests.
