Bog Creek, also known as Hog Creek, rises two miles north of East Mountain in southeastern Upshur County (at 32°37' N, 94°52' W) and flows northeast for seven miles to its mouth on Clear Creek, two miles northwest of Bethlehem (at 32°41' N, 94°49' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It traverses rolling terrain surfaced by moderately deep to deep clayey sand that supports mixed hardwood and pine forests and grasses.
