Boggy Creek rises six miles south of College Station and 2½ miles south of Wellborn Road in Brazos County (at 30°30' N, 96°17' W). Paralleling the old railroad grade south of the Texas and New Orleans tracks, the stream runs due south for four miles to its mouth on the Brazos River, at the Brazos-Burleson county line (at 30°27' N, 96°17' W). It crosses flat to moderately rolling terrain surfaced with sandy to clayey loams from which grow pine, post oak, willow, pecan, and mesquite.
