Brookeen Creek

Brookeen Creek rises a mile north of Abbott in south central Hill County (at 31°54' N, 97°03' W) and runs southeast for ten miles to its mouth on Tehuacana Creek, twelve miles northwest of Hubbard (at 31°47' N, 96°58' W). It crosses generally flat to rolling terrain surfaced by dark, commonly calcareous clays that support mesquite and cacti. The area has served as crop and range land.
