The Brownsville and Rio Grande International Railroad is a terminal switching railroad serving the port of Brownsville. On February 26, 1984, the Brownsville and Rio Grande International took over the switching at the port on track leased from the Brownsville Navigation District. The track had previously been leased to and the switching handled by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company.
