Brushy Creek (Hays County)

Brushy Creek rises two miles southeast of Buda in eastern Hays County (at 30°05' N, 97°49' W) and flows southeast for 14½ miles to its mouth on Plum Creek, five miles northwest of Lockhart in Caldwell County (at 29°'56 N, 97°'44 W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches and is dammed a mile above its mouth. It traverses a land surface of clays and shales that principally support grasses.
