Brushy Creek (Shelby County)

Brushy Creek rises five miles southeast of Joaquin in northeastern Shelby County (at 31°57' N, 94°08' W) and flows southeast for six miles to its mouth on Flat Fork Creek (at 31°53' N, 94°06' W). It crosses nearly level to moderately steep, heavily wooded terrain with sandy to clayey and loamy topsoils. Pines and various hardwoods predominate in the flora.
