Buck Branch rises six miles southwest of Delhi in southwestern Caldwell County (at 29°47' N, 97°24' W) and runs south for nine miles to its mouth on Sandy Fork, six miles west of Waelder in Gonzales County (at 29°40' N, 97°24' W). It crosses low-rolling to flat terrain with local dissections, surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush, mixed hardwoods, pine, and grasses.
