Buffalo Creek rises four miles southeast of Haslet in north central Tarrant County (at 32°56' N, 97°21' W) and runs northeast for four miles to its mouth on Henrietta Creek, a mile south of the Denton county line (at 32°59' N, 97°18' W). It traverses variable terrain surfaced by shallow, stony, clay loams that support oak and juniper trees, chaparral, cacti, and grasses.
