Bull Creek rises four miles southeast of Maydelle in west central Cherokee County (at 31°45' N, 95°15' W) and runs southwest for six miles to its mouth on the Neches River, four miles northwest of Holcomb Store (at 31°41' N, 95°17' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It crosses flat to gently rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support grasses and mixed hardwoods and pines.
