Bull Creek begins three miles northwest of Austin in north central Travis County (at 30°24' N, 97°50' W) and runs southeast for twelve miles to its mouth on Lake Austin (at 30°21' N, 97°47' W). It runs beneath steep slopes and benches surfaced with shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
