Burgess Creek rises three miles southeast of Weatherford in southeastern Parker County (at 32°43' N, 97°46' W) and flows east for six miles, passing through nearly level to rolling land with a surface of shallow to deep clayey and loamy soils that principally support grasses. For most of the county's history the Burgess Creek area has been used as rangeland. The stream empties into Willow Creek, just north of Annetta (at 32°43' N, 97°40' W).
