Cabeza Indians

Cabeza (Cavesa, Caveza) is a name (Spanish for "head") that seems to have been applied to several Indian groups in North America. In 1693 a group of Cabezas was reported north of the Rio Grande, presumably in the Trans-Pecos. It is not known if these were the same as the Cabezas who lived in southern Coahuila during the same period and who were frequently recorded as being closely associated with the Tobosos.
