Camp Branch rises several miles east of Duffau in southeastern Erath County (at 32°06' N, 97°58' W) and runs seven miles south to its mouth on Duffau Creek, in extreme northwestern Bosque County (at 32°01' N, 97°57' W). The surrounding variable terrain is surfaced by shallow, stony clay loams to deep, fine sandy loams that support juniper, oak, grasses, chaparral, cacti, brush, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
