Camp Creek rises four miles north of Rockwood in southern Coleman County (at 31°34' N, 99°25' W) and runs southeast for twelve miles, through Rockwood and Whon, to its mouth on Home Creek (at 31°30' N, 99°16' W), near its junction with the Colorado River. The surrounding level terrain, at 1,450 feet above sea level, is surfaced by deep loam that supports grasses, shrubs, and some hardwoods.
