Camp Creek rises five miles northwest of Muenster in north central Cooke County (at 33°43' N, 97°26' W) and runs north for eight miles to its mouth on the Red River, two miles northeast of Bulcher (at 33°49' N, 97°25' W). It crosses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by deep, fine sandy loam that supports hardwood forests and conifers along the banks of the creek.
