Camp Creek rises at the meeting of two forks two miles northeast of Clairemont in central Kent County (at 33°10' N, 100°39' W). The South Fork of Camp Creek rises one mile east of Clairemont (at 33°10' N, 100°44' W) and runs east until it meets the North Fork. The North Fork rises four miles northeast of Clairemont (at 33°12' N, 100°42' W) and runs southeast three miles until it meets the South Fork. Camp Creek then runs east one mile to its mouth on the Salt Fork of the Brazos River (at 33°10' N, 100°38' W). The surrounding moderately steep slopes and locally high relief are surfaced by shallow to moderately deep silt loam that supports mesquite and grasses.
