Casas Blancas Creek, also known as Arroyo La Minita, rises in western Starr County (at 26°37' N, 99°03' W) and runs southwest for fifteen miles to its mouth on the Rio Grande, four miles south of Salineno (at 26°28' N, 99°06' W). It traverses flat to rolling terrain with steep margins, surfaced by shallow to deep sandy loams that support pecan, willow, and grasses.
