Cedar Branch rises just south of Highland Park in Dallas in north central Dallas County (at 32°49' N, 96°48' W) and runs southwest for 1½ miles to its mouth on Turtle Creek, just south of Interstate Highway 35 East (at 32°48' N, 96°49' W). The area around the creek has been extensively developed.
