Center Creek rises just outside Decatur in central Wise County (at 33°14' N, 97°35' W) and runs southwest for 8½ miles to its mouth on the West Fork of the Trinity River, two miles east of Paradise (at 33°11' N, 97°36' W). The creek was probably named for its location in Wise County. It traverses nearly level to undulating terrain surfaced by light-colored soils with loamy or sandy surfaces over reddish or mottled clayey or loamy subsoils.
